Google Chromebook Touchscreen - San Francisco - After releasing the Chromebook, a laptop with a special Chrome OS, Google is preparing another surprise. Next year, the Internet giant will release a touchscreen version of the Chromebook.
Reported by The Register, and we quoted on Tuesday (11/27/2012), this time Chromebook will be made by the Taiwanese OEM giant, Compal. Other companies named Wintek tasked to provide all the essential components such as displays and others.
This will be Google's first notebook with its own name and brand. Unlike previous Chromebook is a notebook from manufacturer Acer and Samsung.
A number of analysts, Google hopes Chromebook touch screen version will attract more attention than the Chromebook 'regular' at Acer and Samsung.
Google itself seems to be very optimistic in launching these new products. Unmitigated, 20 million units Chromebook is expected to start shipping by the end of this year.
