Sales of Galaxy S III Beat iPhone 4S - Galaxy S III looks like it deserves to be the pride of Samsung smartphones. Android handset to temporarily become the most popular smartphone in the world based on research from Strategy Analytics.

Strategy Analytics said sales of the Galaxy S III during the quarter to reach 18 million units. While the iPhone 4S stalking behind with 16.2 million units sold units.

"Samsung Galaxy S III proved to be very popular with consumers and operators in North America, Europe and Asia," said Neil Mawston from Strategy Analytics.

"The position of the Galaxy S III as the best-selling smartphone appears only briefly. IPhone 5 has a solid start with an estimated 6 million units shipped during the third quarter of 2012," added Neil

But S III predicted power will not last long. The arrival of the iPhone 5, which reportedly sold some 5 million units in 3 days will make Apple's marketing assessed again triumphed.
